Expression of Her Gifts

Her natural and heart filled ability to connect with each soul, human or in spirit form, is evident from the moment you meet her. Cathy Gambino is a gifted Intuitive and Spiritual Illuminator. "I have a hard time defining in one word the expression of my work. I am clairsentient, which simply means clear feeling; those wonderful gut feelings we all get. I am clairvoyant, clear seeing; my veil to other dimensions opens for a vision unlike that of which we see as humans. I am also clairaudient, clear hearing; somewhat like hearing thoughts and sometimes words as we know them."

Cathy is also referred to as a spiritual psychic medium. Not all psychics are mediums, yet all mediums are psychic. Being a spiritual psychic just means that Cathy can sense subtle energies around living people and objects. As a spiritual medium, Cathy also senses energy and is able to differentiate the slower vibrations of the physical world, or third dimension from the much more accelerated vibrations of the spirit world.

As part of her own unfolding journey, Cathy has also found that her physical eyes are very sensitive to the human aura. "Colors will appear around people. I can see the energy with my physical eyes as well as with my third eye." These colors very consistently identify characteristics. In better understanding the traits and characteristics associated with the colors she observes, Cathy has found wonderful transformation occurs for those open and asking for the information.

"I guess I could refer to myself as an Energetic Interpreter or Spiritual Illuminator. I understand the language of the earth plane as well as the resonance and language of other dimensions....the spirit world. I have just opened to see, feel, and hear the language of the universe".

Cathy is adamant, she is not here to change anyone's mind or belief system. Healthy skepticism is welcomed. She expresses a loving reverence for each person's unique journey. Cathy makes herself and the expression of her gifts available to those; asking for the information, for those who are curious, and to anyone interested in their own growth and learning.

Ultimately, Cathy feels extremely fortunate to facilitate and enhance connection and transformation. "Commitment to the human experience in all its facets and expressions, is what each of us is here to do." Cathy does private sessions in person and on the phone, illuminates in a class setting, lectures and writes. The expression of her work is not about prediction; it is about recognizing Divine Love in all.

Her Early Years

Cathy was born in Washington, D.C., the second of five children, and the oldest girl. Larry is, her older brother by two years; Carol her younger sister by seven years; Paul a younger brother by nine years and Christi, the youngest, born 12 years after Cathy. Her childhood was "normal", so she thought.

Cathy was raised within the Catholic faith. Her father Larry served as an usher at the church of her youth, and continues to this day, at 82 years of age. Her mother, Vivian was one of the first female Eucharistic Ministers in that faith. Cathy early on realized a connection with Jesus, yet was not validated by those in positions of authority. Her connection was that of a knowing, a familiar feeling, knowing of places, people and events. It wasn't until much later in her life she came to realize what that connection was all about.

Even though Cathy recognized the wonderful sense of community formed within the faith she knew as a child, and the support of that community, she also felt something was missing...a sense of true connection; a sense of true and genuine spirit. She felt a feeling of separateness adhering to the label of the religion she knew. So, in her early teens, she moved away from a traditional religious practice and diverged onto the road of spirituality. Cathy did not realize at the time that not all people were seeing in the way she saw; not all people were feeling in the way she felt and not all people were hearing in the way she heard...she was a gifted Intuitive even then.

Recognizing her own spirit was not the smoothest road for Cathy. The journey unfolded with rocks and pot holes in the road, as well as the wonderful stretches of open highway and beautiful scenery, the smell of honeysuckle summer evenings, the freshness of a snow covered untouched morning, and the calming sound of waves ebbing and tiding at the shore. She encountered all the gifts and challenges of the journey through her youth, including the birth of her daughter Angela, truly her greatest gift.

Opening to Her Gifts

Cathy participated in a sixteen year career as a health care professional on the east coast. She kept herself busy with career, education, being a single parent and exercise. Even with huge success in her work, Cathy felt something was missing. A sadness rested in her heart.

Love, Medicine and Miracles: Lessons Learned about Self-Healing from a Surgeons's Experience with Exceptional Patients, a book by Dr. Bernie Siegel, was recommended to Cathy. The written words resonated with her soul. Cathy realized wellness was not just about the physical science, it included the spirit. Not new news to many, yet this was a "light bulb" moment for Cathy in 1989. After this realization, a strong, persistent voice was present urging her to forge into the unknown.

Cathy began to realign her life. At thirty-five years of age, Cathy chose to leave her career and family on the east coast. She set off for Salt Lake City, Utah where she spent the next three and a half years letting go of old ways of being. For some unknown reason, Cathy was driven, yes driven, to break away from all that was familiar. She knew there was a reason, she just didn't know what it was.

It wasn't until the end of her stay in Salt Lake City that Cathy met a wonderful soul in the healing arts profession. He could see human auras; he could sense energies around each person. He used that information in his practice as a Chiropractor. This was something totally new to Cathy, yet at the same time familiar, welcomed and transforming. Although challenges were present, Cathy experienced a total state of well-being...a lightness unlike she had ever felt before.

Soon after her introduction to psychic awareness, an opportunity presented for Cathy to move to Santa Barbara, California. It was a place she had never been, yet as soon as she arrived there, she knew she was home. There was a magic, a beauty, a sense of openness and calm. There was a resonance in her soul never felt before.

Cathy was introduced to a Channel (medium) in Santa Barbara. Cathy wasn't sure what a Channel was, yet knew the experience would be incredible. "I sat on her couch as her cat snuggled up in my lap. She went into a trance state and then someone was speaking to me, someone other than her!". The energy was so expansive, Cathy felt as if she were being plastered into the couch she was sitting on...in the most unconditional and loving way. "I was transformed on that day. It was the true and genuine presence of Divine, unconditional Love".

Cathy was invited by the Channel to attend a psychic development class she conducted every Tuesday evening. It just happened to be Tuesday, Cathy gladly accepted the invitation and was present for class that night. The first few minutes in the group, Cathy's ability to see into other dimensions unveiled. "I can't in any words describe the intense sensations, feelings and visions I experienced. There was a Divine presence...I knew all was well."

The next four years unfolded into some of the most incredible paranormal experiences and spiritual connections for Cathy. She continued her growth and learning in this area through participation in groups, reading, meditation, and prayer. "There is no one right way to go about this!". She also invested in Hypnotherapy school and became a Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist. Although Cathy does not practice hypnotherapy currently, she feels the learning was invaluable to the current expression of her gifts.

Sharing the Knowing

Cathy's unique spiritual connections and paranormal experiences are currently being recorded for publication. Cathy is open to a publisher who can share in the excitement of her life-long experience and professional work in the field over the past seven years.

She illuminates and allows all to open to their unique and individual gifts through an ongoing group setting created for her established clients, "Evenings of Discovery, Healing, Mediumship, Psychic Awareness and Spiritual Growth". She also shares the knowing through workshops, lectures and private groups.
